Submissions

The Journal of the Energy Law Practitioner welcomes submissions of articles and commentaries re: relevant court cases and legislation from practitioners, judges, and professors.

How To Submit

The Journal of the Energy Law Practitioner accepts submissions on a continuous basis throughout the year. Authors are encouraged to submit through the online submissions portal Scholastica.

Please note, to be considered for publication in Volume 2 (coming May/June 2023), submissions must be in by March 1, 2023. Submissions made after this date will be considered for Volume 3, Issue 1 (coming November/December 2023).

Format

Submissions must contain footnote citations which substantially conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. Please refer to the Texas Law Review Manual on Usage & Style, 12th Edition, for rules of grammar, punctuation, and style.  All submissions should be accompanied with:

  1. a cover letter containing the author’s contact information and the title of the manuscript;
  2. a resume or curriculum vitae for the author;
  3. an abstract on a separate page; and
  4. a copy of the manuscript.
